September 16, 2015 thru September 29, 2015

 

THEFT – On September 16, 2015 at 12:25pm, Patrolman Sean Langan responded to an address on the 600 block of Compass Avenue for a theft from a vehicle. The resident reported that sometime during the overnight hours a vehicle which was parked in the driveway was entered and several bags of clothes were taken from the vehicle. The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the incident.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – On September 17, 2015 at 10:23pm, Patrolman David Bowden responded to a residence on the 1200 block of Longboat Avenue for damage to a window. The resident stated that it appeared that a bottle was thrown at the front window causing it to break. They did not see anyone leaving the area after hearing the window break.

FIRE CALL – On September 18, 2015 at 6:53pm, Officer Gina Bruno along with Sgt. Derek Mussari were dispatched to a residence on the 1300 block of Anchor Avenue for a fire alarm activation. The Beachwood Fire Company arrived as well and it was determined the alarm activation was due to smoke from cooking.

BURGLARY – On September 20, 2015 at 5:25pm, Officer Gina Bruno and Officer Phil Schena were dispatched to a residence on the 700 block of Mermaid Avenue for a possible burglary. Upon their arrival the property owner advised the officers that there was a recent eviction of the previous tenant and when the owner arrived he noticed broken glass on the rear door. The owner stated that nothing appeared taken from the residence but noticed that the glass was not broken on his previous visit.

THEFT – On September 21, 2015 at 5:35pm, Patrolman Keith Meissner was dispatched for a theft report at a residence on the 700 block of Forepeak Avenue. The homeowner stated that a small compressor, nail gun and tool kit were stolen from their unlocked shed. The incident occurred sometime between 12:35am and 5:00pm on Sept. 21. Detective Dan Altman was assigned to follow up.

FIRE CALL – On September 21, 2015 at 5:59pm, Officer Gina Bruno along with the Beachwood Fire Department were dispatched to a residence on the 200 block of Tiller Avenue for a fire alarm activation. The Fire Chief determined the alarm to be a false alarm and the residents were allowed to return to the residence.

THEFT – On September 24, 2015 at 5:50pm, Officer Thomas Prince responded to an address on the 100 block of Barnegat Boulevard for a theft report. The resident advised that a package which was delivered by FedEx was stolen from the front porch area.

As a result of officers seeing and stopping a subject in the area a small box was recovered belonging to the Barnegat address. George Parker, 56 of Seaside Heights, who was found to be in possession of the stolen item was arrested and charged with theft. Parker was also charged with a previously reported theft from a shed on the 700 block of Forepeak Avenue. Parker was lodged in the Ocean County Jail on $5000.00 bail.

THEFT – On September 24, 2015 at 6:30pm, Patrolman Allen Magory responded to a residence on the 700 block of Barnegat Boulevard for a report of a stolen bicycle. The resident stated that they believe the bike was taken between Sept. 19 and Sept. 24 from a rear shed.

FIRE CALL – On September 29, 2015 at 2:16pm, Patrolman Sean Langan and Patrolman Phil Schena were dispatched to a residence on the 100 block of Seaman Avenue for a smell of gas. The Beachwood Fire Department responded and was able to determine the gas smell was related to a gas dryer. The gas was shut off and the gas company was notified.
